Coming soon, this fully supported day-hike experience will allow visitors to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park without worrying about gear, food logistics, or transport.
Your adventure begins with a comfortable transfer into the national park, where you’ll be dropped near the starting point of the famous circuit at Dove Lake. From here, you’ll set out on the well-maintained track that loops around the lake beneath the dramatic peaks of Cradle Mountain.
The Dove Lake Circuit is one of the most popular walks in Tasmania for good reason. The trail takes you through a variety of spectacular landscapes including ancient rainforest, button grass moorlands, alpine heathlands, and glacially carved shorelines. Along the way you’ll pass pristine beaches, boardwalk sections through fragile alpine vegetation, and incredible viewpoints looking up toward Cradle Mountain’s jagged summit.
This self-guided hike is perfect for walkers of most fitness levels, offering a relatively gentle but incredibly scenic experience. The full circuit is approximately 6 kilometres and typically takes 2–3 hours to complete at a relaxed pace, giving you plenty of time to stop for photos, wildlife spotting, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings of this world-renowned national park.
